Christmas Morning!

This is Dylan's first Christmas and I think he really enjoyed it! We got him some Christmas Jammies, he loved them, he wore them all Christmas day until, he soaked them at Grandma Gilberts and we put him in a scooby-doo shirt (3t) until he opened up his jammies there. Christmas morning Dylan didn't wake up till after eight so like the bad parents that we are we went and got him out of bed, mostly because we had to be up to Josh's parents and if we didn't get going then we wouldn't make it to my parents. But he had ten hours of sleep so I thought that that was plenty anyways. He was so happy, Josh went in and got him and this whole week he has definatly been a daddy's boy. So he comes down with this huge grin and Josh takes him over to peek in his sock, to see what Santa had left him, suprisingly there was a Winnie the Pooh phone and a sippy cup. He loves to play with his other sippy cup but it was no competition for that phone, he wouldn't let go of it we had to take it up to Josh's parents house. Josh got a new camp chef table and a tapout hat and a mp3 player and the new Dark Knight Movie. So after checking everything out we packed Dylan up and drove VERY slowly up the canyon. We arrived to Josh's house to find that Santa had left him some presents there too, we normally get a present from Santa up there so he must have been a little confused this year. Dylan got some stuffed little animals and these cool blocks that are actually little books, he LOVES them. I got some comfy pants and Josh got the movie Troy. Then we opened up the presents. Dylan ended up getting an animal train that runs around the room, a truck, some ring stacker thing, and a Cruise and Crawl from Grandpa and Grandma. I got a mp3 player and a set of new scriptures, Josh got some Captain Morgan sleep pants, and chinese dragon, and a Dremmel, all in all it was a good stop to make, Then off to my parents, where we had hogies for lunch, and then opened presents, where my Mother, the little stinker, bought me a cast iron pan, and some pants, I had no idea about the pan, I picked the pants out so I thought that's all I was getting. Sister Molly got me some nice flannel sheets (they are great by the way) Josh got a ladder, and some slippers, and Dylan his pj's and some cool balls that make different sounds, nad some new tub toys from Daxon. Then Mom opened her Genaology book I've been working on FOREVER! She loved it and started crying so in turn all of us girls started crying, you know how that works. Then back up to Josh's parents for dinner, ham and potatoes. We left shortly after dinner because if we didn't go I don't think that we could've gotten out, so we drove about 15mph the whole way home and barely made it in our driveway. It was so nice to be home. Here are some pics of Dylan with his Christmas presents that he unwrapped.

Temple Square

On Sunday we also went to see the lights at Temple Square, with Josh's family. We went down to Chuck-a-rama to meet his brother, Tyler and his wife Ivonne. They have an adorable little girl named, Carolina. We exchanged gifts and opened them. Josh got some boxers, I got the most comfy slippers, and Dylan got a towel that has an elephant trunk and ears on it, it's pretty darn cute on him. Then we drove over to the Temple. The lights were beautiful! The nativity statues they had were so pretty, especially with the new fallen snow. Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus were in the middle of the water in a little pool they have there, and they had candles floating all around them it was so pretty. By this time Dylan had fallen asleep so we just covered him and he slept till we got ready to go in the car. We went to see everything, and walked around and ooed and aahed. It was so peaceful.

Scott and Krista

WOW! Can I just say how busy Josh and I have been this last week. It started with Scott and Krista coming up so we could see Brooke and they sould see Dylan. I can't believe how big she has gotten. She is so cute and funny, she would try to pet zues and then when he would finally come close she would scream or she would run for Mom, it was funny to watch. Dylan was on his best behavior when they were here so that's always nice. And i was just finishing up some more Christmas candy when they got here, reese's and peanut clusters. I love when they get to come down and don't run out the door because they have to go home or they are going to see someone else. We never get to spend enough time with them it seems.

Christmas Candy

Isn't that the best thing about Christmas well except for that Jolly Fellow. My mother made candy for years and I loved to eat it and watch her make it, so I keep it pretty simple and made my favorite (which I actually used to hate) peanut clusters. My Mom gave me directions and I just kinda put them together. They are very tasty, I have to admit I'm pretty proud of myself I didn't even burn the chocolate. The big one is for Josh because he said I was making them too little, well I didn't think so, but I made him a big one anyways.

My Husband

Can I just say how I love him. I left Dilly-beans home this morning because he was still sleeping and I didn't know how long he would be sleeping because yesterday he slept twelve hours straight! I'M NOT JOKING! And he gets here and he has him dressed and fed and he has a grin on his face, and tells me all that they have been doing this morning. I guess they were watching NFL total access or whatever it is called and had Dylan sitting next to him (Dylan loves to watch football with his Daddy) and he would look up at Josh and grin then watch tv again. I can just see him doing it which makes it that much better, that's how he flirts I'm guessing. He is just so cute with him and Dylan gets Daddy hungry when Josh works late because he doesn't get to see him at all that day. So their time together is very precious for both of them.

Halloween

I know that it's not Halloween time but I forgot to put these pictures on here and they were just too cute to leave off.

More Sweet Tatoes Please

Dylan has finally eaten some REAL food. Molly suggested that I start him on sweet potatoes, and he's not quite sure about them yet but eating them better and better every day. When were were shopping yesterday Josh fed him eight bottles, what a hungry little man we have. So far today I've fed him two, but he also has had mush and sweet potatoes. And did I mention that he likes to do it all by himself already?

Thanks Aunt Maddy!

I love this hat on Dylan, Maddy made it for him and it's a little to small, but it keeps him warm and toasty. Of course it's camo because what little boy doesn't like camo. These pictures are coming home from the Festival of Lights Parade.

Christmas Time Is Here ! !

WOW I can't believe it's already this lovely time of year! Josh and I put up all of our Christmas decorations. Dylan was watching with great wonder in his eyes. He loved when we lit the tree up, with our blue and white lights. But I think he really loved the colored light we put around our piano, front door, and entertainment center. He just sits and looks at them. We put them up on Thanksgiving after we got back from my families dinner. The next night we went to the Festival of Lights Parade, Dylan just watched all the floats go by one at a time it was the most adorable thing I've seen. So now that we have done the shopping thing with all the girls yesterday my tree is loaded up with presents. And Dylan has Hudson for Christmas this year, and let me just say that I'm SO excited to see him open up his present on Christmas, I can't wait!

Coldplay

Josh and I were invited to go to the Coldplay concert on Saturday in Salt Lake. It was awesome! ! For me not being that big of a fan it was really great, and not what I expected at all. We were very surprised when we noticed that they had left the stage and were heading our way. They came up to where we were sitting to sing a song they were literally twenty feet away from us and they sang two songs then they ran out the doors and were back on stage after everyone had their cell phones open and bouncing them back and forth it looked awesome. Before the concert we went and ate at thaifoon. It was good, I had coconut shrimp and Josh had Honey almond chicken, both came with rice. We also had some calamari, it was delicious. Josh liked it as well but when he ate the whole squid instead of just the rings he felt a little queasy, I told him it was just the thought of it, he agreed. We didn't get home till about one and I still had to go to Mom's and get Dilly-beans. He slept the whole way home, but he did wake up when we got home, but I gave him a bottle and he fell right back asleep until seven, and Josh went and got him. It was so nice I got to sleep in until ten, which I haven't done for almost a year. Thank you Babey, I love you.

Oh Sister Molly

Look what I did.

WOW look how we have changed

Feedings for a four month old

Dylan has found out how to use Ryker (his cousin) sippy cup. He loves drinking out of it or mostly chewing on it. I wish I had a picture but it's always at work and I don't have a camera. Josh says that he is too young for one but I have to get him one for Christmas. But until I get a picture of that here he is feeding himself mush because I guess Mom just doesn't do it the right way. I forgot to mention he had his first bowl of oatmeal yesterday and he ate it all gone!
